This plant is slow growing during it´s juvinile stages, then becomes a more moderate grower. It has deep green foliage, and striking white buds. It´s upright, mounding form can become irregular as it matures. It is not hard to imagine that the irregular dark green branches pushing, and building the body of the plant upward,ust as a thundrhead forms on a humid summer day, may have been the inspiration for the mane of this beauty.
