´Burke´s Red Variegated´ is an exceptional choice for the small, medium, or large landscape. The "Red" in its name comes from the fact that it is a densiflora, or Japanese Red Pine, not from the color of its needles. It has green foliage that is accented with a "Dragon´s Eye" type of yellow band variegation, which becomes more pronounced as the summer progresses. It a full-bodied tree that ships well, and seems to perform better than most of the similarly variegated varieties.
